The 17th century is a very exciting period in Tyrolean history: on the borders, the invasion of hostile troops threatens during the Thirty Years’ War, the economic situation is tense, and yet the cultural court life flourishes: under the rule of Prince Leopold and his wife Claudia de Medici, Innsbruck becomes the center of itlian music culture, the first standalone opera house is built, and the princes enjoy the finer things in life to the fullest! On our entertaining stroll through the Innsbruck city center, we also visit the famous Claudia Hall in the old government building and the Jesuit Church.
